Thought I may have started a tread on this a while back but I can't seem to find it so... here goes another one. For the third year in a row, I attended the local 'Tin Can Rally' held by the Tin Can Tourists Association. These folk are dedicated to restoration of 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s era travel trailers, right down to the melmack plates and Colman stoves. Very cool as some of them dress in costume and also use period vehicles for towing. Makes for a fun photo shoot. I'm drawn to it as a fly to a flame as it's also a place for really cookie HDR work. :w00t:

#1 just your typical trailer

#5 god how I love Airstream trailers and HDR!

to be continued - as I get more done.

Nothing like the gleam of an Airstream to suck-in a photog! That tail end shot is perfect in HDR.
Simply gorgeous!

Growing up we were always camping, but never in a 'real' trailer. We used tents until my dad made 3 tent trailers. In fact, he was quite sure he invented the tent trailer in the early '60's. I wish I had that original, primitive creation today!

More!

Oh wow, that's some amazing Airstream gleam! I wish we had an event like that around here, that looks like a ton of fun. Great use of the fisheye to give the narrow confines the appearance of spaciousness :)

Thanks, it was a fisheye/HDR user's dream. By the way, if you check through the events listed on the Tin Can Tourist site listed at the top of this thread, you would have found this event:

Well I'd hardly call a 6 hour drive "reasonably close", especially with a baby in tow :) Of course, back when I wasn't baby-laden, a 6 hour drive was "a hop and a skip away"...

Figured you might say that. By the way, I'm watching your CFL team play Calgary. Montreal looks sharp.

I appreciate that too! I was at work and missed the game, but thankfully we can stream ESPN on the Roku.

@BCB - love the Airstream HDR shot, very interesting, and  the fisheye interiors, very sweet captures.

FWIW- that area of NY is really quite lovely. I went to school in the Finger Lakes region. Also babies do quite well camping , it's when they are 3-5 that you have to bungy cord them to a tree.
